ITS NOW BEEN FIVE YEARS! INCREDIBLE!!

On 1st September 2008, we started on what was supposed to be a 2 year adventure; we let our house in Cambridge and bought a 57ft narrowboat and began exploring as much of the English inland waterways as we can. We have been up North as far as Skipton in Yorkshire and as far West as Bath in Somerset.

London is the furthest South we have been and we have been explored the East Anglian waterways for a couple of summers. However, having had two very harsh winters on the boat we decided to make like the birds and fly South for the Winter! So we had a six month break in New Zealand from November 28th 2010 to May 12th 2011! Read all about it in the blog! Well there are still many waterways yet to explore and we are not ready to move back into a house yet so we are continuing to let our house (our tenants are lovely!) and remaining on board.

We will continue to add a selection of photos and maybe videos as we go, so please take a regular look at the relevant pages. Any feedback from friends and family or even other boaters will always be welcome and we look forward to hearing from you...
